Examines the relationship between First Nations and the Canadian government in an attempt to review the historical evolution of the relationship. Looks at the Royal Proclamation of 1763, the 'honour of the Crown', the Mi'kmaw view of the relationship with the Crown, and some of the articles of the Treaty of 1752. Summarizes the relationship between the Canadian government and the Mi'kmaq First Nation at the end of the 20th century.
